Jeanna French is a film editor and photographer whose work spans documentary film, branded and social media content. She was recently selected for the prestigious Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellowship.
Her editing work has aired on HBO, PBS, and streamed worldwide, including the Academy Award-shortlisted short Brillo Box (3¢ off), the feature-length documentary Gustav Stickley: American Craftsman, and multiple shorts for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Art+Film Gala, honoring the artist Robert Irwin and a celebration of the ten year anniversary of the gala. Recently, she completed Firelighters: Fire is Medicine, a documentary that follows Yurok and Karuk burning rights activists as they reclaim cultural burning practices to combat catastrophic wildfires. The film aired on PBS World.
Jeanna also served as lead editor and post-production supervisor for the YouTube series Canna Cribs, which takes viewers inside some of the largest commercial cannabis grow operations in the world, garnering millions of views on YouTube.
In addition to her long-form projects, Jeanna has edited countless short-form branded videos for clients such as LACMA, Sounds True, the Arizona Department of Child Safety, Arizona List, and the University of Arizona.
Outside the edit suite, Jeanna’s photography has been exhibited internationally, in Greece, England, Italy, the Chania International Photography Festival, and the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
