    This platform allows users to list, bid on, and purchase a wide variety of vehicles, ranging from classic cars to motorcycles and even unique vehicles like minibikes and boats. It provides a well-curated marketplace with stringent listing standards, which includes detailed vehicle descriptions, high-quality photos, and a knowledgeable community that often participates in discussions on the auction pages.

    We had an existing website that was built on WordPress VIP, but we decided to switch to a more robust tech stack to improve our platform’s scalability, performance, and maintainability, enhancing the overall user experience and supporting our growth. We used React/Next.js for the frontend and Node.js for the backend, and we hosted it all on AWS. 
    As a senior full stack engineer, I had a lot of responsibilities. I managed our legacy websites, built a brand-new consumer website using Next.js and some serverless, event-based architecture with TypeScript.
