    uniE621 Ecosystem Services Analysis
Among making some other basic maps, my role in this project involved the analysis and cartography of the Ecosystem Services provided by a certain neighbourhood (Carbon sequestration, air pollutant removal and stormwater runoff reduction). The software I used were mainly QGIS, iTree and Excel.
    uniE621 Identification of sensitive areas
The following map depicts a visual representation of potential sensitive areas to consider when making loud works on the street. Some information has been censored for confidentiality reasons.
paper Urban Green Spaces Management Programs
These are some censored examples of my role on this environmental consultancy project. As many other projects I've made, it aims to provide an insight on how green areas could be managed and maintained for the upcoming period. This project involved an exhaustive data analysis, which meant a great deal of difficulty due to the poor quality of the available data, resulting in +50 maps.
    uniE621 New Park's Cartographic Study
This project involved all kinds of cartographic analyses regarding a new-born park, including predictions and estimations of the park's future situation. For confidenciality reasons I'm only showing a few of the +100 maps I made for this project, and some information has been censored.
paper Green Infrastructure Strategic Plan (2025)
These are some of the +60 maps I created for two related projects in the city of Rivas, Spain, promoted by the European Union and some of Spain's major environmental institutions. It is an ambitious project that aims to develop a Green Infrastructure Strategic Plan to enhance biodiversity, climate resilience and well-being. The work I've been involved in includes diagnosis of current situstion, identification of potential green spaces and environmental analyses. I will also be responsible for the making of the final, public map. *Some info has been censored for confidentiality reasons.
paper [Dissertation] Wild boar abundance: impact on other mammal species
My masters' final dissertation, which is published and available ISBN 10:https://www.twine.net/signin / ISBN 13:https://www.twine.net/signin]. Even though the final result itself only includes these 2 maps, the GIS analysis behind it was key to the whole work. To sum up, the database the analysis was based on was built by collecting abundance data on different mammal species throughout a series of 1km (0,6 miles) transects, and afterwards gathering a variety of spatial variables using GIS software; such as tree and bush cover or habitat type, distance to the nearest human settlement...
paper Environmental Impact Study on a new railway: alternative routes
This project was an assignment for one of my masters' courses. We were given a route for a hypothetical new proposed railway that was expected to stop at four different cities, in order to analyze its environmental risks. We were also asked to propose different alternatives, explaining the pros and cons of each one of them. I made this project back in 2023, and looking back, even though I still think the work and analysis behind were more than sufficient, I can clearly see my improvement throughout the years, since the output of my most recent projects clearly have a more proffessional look. gis qgis cartography maps mapmaking datavisualization gisanalysis environmental biodiversity analysis assesment wildlife
