    Pre-Launch Optimization — Candi Shop
    Candi Shop's storefront was fully designed but hadn't launched yet when I came on to add a layer of polish, functionality, and performance ahead of going live. On the front end, I built a custom snowing animation for the homepage — a subtle seasonal touch that made the site feel alive without slowing it down — added a live countdown timer to drive urgency around a discount campaign, and implemented a sticky add-to-cart button across all product pages to reduce friction at the exact moment buyers are ready to purchase. But the real value came from the audit. Going through the store as a customer would before launch, I caught issues that would have quietly cost conversions from day one: a pricing display bug showing $0 on certain products, container overflow breaking the mobile layout, and a mismatch between the store's currency and its shipping copy that could easily confuse buyers at checkout. I documented each issue with clear before/after recommendations and handed the owner a punch list they could act on before going live. This is the kind of work I enjoy most — not just building, but making sure what's about to launch actually performs.
