Jack Bakal-van Ingen (they/them), well-rounded jack of all trades with experience and passion in many different fields. They are a freelance Assistant Camera and Editor who prides themself on providing the utmost care and quality possible. Jack’s passion for film-making ranges all aspects: they grew up writing stories and screenplays and first picked up a camera at age twelve, when their uncle allowed him to use his Canon SLR on a trip abroad (provided, of course, that Jack was the one to carry all of the equipment).
Since then, their passion for film brought them to New York City, where they work in many types of content creation. Most of their experience is in narrative films, but they’ve also done work in documentaries, music videos, and television. They are always looking to broaden their horizons and try something new. They now live in the Netherlands and hope to reenter the film world in exiting new ways.
In 2021, Jack, their partner, and a couple of friends founded Bad Address Media, a production company focused on genre fiction podcasts. Jack produces, directs, and acts in Halfmoon Chronicles, Bad Address’ debut podcast. Jack’s passion for voice acting has been a constant throughout their life and a career avenue they’ve always been interested in pursuing.
In their spare time, they are a writer, impressionist, gamer and cat parent. They love dynamic lighting and cite Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope’s Binary Sunset scene as the reason they fell in love with the idea of making movies.
