Checkr is seeking a Lead Brand Designer, Web, to shape the Checkr brand across all marketing surfaces. The role will partner closely with Marketing and Revenue, own web brand standards, and ensure design decisions reflect customer needs and business objectives. Key responsibilities include: Design polished, brand-forward web experiences across marketing channels. Own and evolve web brand standards, guidelines, and design systems. Scope and prioritize design initiatives across multiple projects and timelines. Collaborate with Marketing and Revenue to maintain consistency across web touchpoints. Provide creative direction and feedback to designers and creative partners. Present and advocate for design decisions to peers and senior leadership. Plan and conduct ongoing user testing to improve the web experience. Use customer personas and end-to-end user journeys to inform design decisions. Requirements At least 7 years of in-house or agency design experience, preferably with technology or B2B brands. An outstanding portfolio demonstrating expertise in typography, layout, storytelling, and art direction. Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, with experience using AI-assisted design tools. Strong knowledge of information architecture, usability, accessibility, and UI/UX best practices. A systems-oriented approach to creating templates and reusable assets. Experience developing brand standards and directing contractors or freelance creatives. Strong design judgment, high craft standards, and the ability to present and defend work to senior leaders. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in fast-moving and ambiguous environments. A proactive, resilient, ownership-oriented approach with a bias toward action and delivering meaningful outcomes. Nice to have: Front-end knowledge, including HTML and CSS, sufficient to prototype or QA work in a browser. Experience with illustration, photography, or art direction. Experience in HR technology, trust and safety, or identity verification. Experience mentoring designers or providing creative direction.
