Seeking an experienced videographer and content creator to document the complete experience of a day at a Southeast Alaska lodge in Gustavus, Alaska. The project will capture the journey from morning preparations, breakfast, and gearing up through travel to the hunting area, setting decoys, the hunt, wildlife and scenery, returning to the lodge, meals, conversations, and evening relaxation. Videos should feel authentic, cinematic, and documentary-style rather than like traditional advertisements. The goal is to make viewers feel as though they experienced the trip themselves. The role involves filming outdoors in Alaska, including very early mornings, cold and wet conditions, and extended periods in the field. Requirements Experience as a professional videographer or content creator. Strong storytelling ability and a documentary-style approach. Experience with outdoor adventure, wildlife, tourism, lodges, hunting, fishing, or similar content preferred. Comfort working in remote outdoor environments and potentially challenging weather conditions. Ability to produce both horizontal and vertical video content. Professional filming, audio recording, editing, and color-correction skills. Drone capability strongly preferred, subject to weather and applicable regulations. Must be based in Anchorage, Juneau, or another Alaska community with practical commercial air service to Juneau. Must be available to work in person in Gustavus, Alaska. Project Deliverables Several professionally edited, 10–15-minute videos for YouTube. Several short-form promotional videos for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social media platforms. Horizontal and vertical video content. Scenic and lifestyle B-roll featuring the lodge, wilderness, boats, equipment, hunters, wildlife, meals, and the Southeast Alaska experience. High-quality audio where appropriate. Color-corrected and professionally edited final videos. All original and raw video and audio footage delivered upon completion. Location and Logistics The project will take place in Gustavus, Alaska, near Glacier Bay National Park. Transportation expenses associated with the project will be provided, and lodging in Gustavus will be arranged. Air travel may be coordinated from Juneau to Gustavus. Compensation Applicants should submit a project bid, including the proposed fee and the number of filming days required to properly capture the experience. Quality and relevant experience are prioritized. Advertised pay: From $1.00 per hour. Application Information Applicants should provide: Current location. Proposed project fee. Number of filming days included. Editing services and deliverables included. Equipment and camera setup. Confirmation of drone capability, if available. Portfolio or links to previous work. Examples of outdoor, hunting, fishing, adventure, tourism, or documentary projects, if available. Estimated turnaround time. Confirmation that all raw footage will be delivered and that the client will own the completed deliverables and footage. Proposed creative approach and availability. Read more
