Hi, The main portion of my experience comes from education, and that’s what I have been doing for the last six years. My life has totally transformed due to this process, and I have loved every minute of it. I started by studying Game Development at Malmö University, a ridiculously broad education that didn’t really lead to jobs in the industry for any of the students. However, it gave me a solid introduction and broader knowledge and insights into many parts of the game development process. After Malmö University, I applied to become a game programmer at The Game Assembly in Malmö. This is an excellent school that goes extremely deep while still covering a lot of ground. Over two years, in addition to lectures and assignments, I and all the other students from various disciplines were divided into groups, and each group created eight excellent games, which can be viewed on my page. On top of this, all programmers, working in pairs, created their own game engines, which were later used in the development of some of the aforementioned games. After doing this for two years I spent an additional eight months on the school's behalf doing my internship. I did this at a small studio in Copenhagen called Playwood project. I was part of the development of their second game, Successor. It is a top-down strategic RPG, developed in Unreal using C++ and Blueprints. I primarily worked with gameplay and UI but assisted wherever I was needed. After my internship ended, they kept me on for a short while but were in the end unable to hire due to financial reasons. They have now finally released their early access so that’s pretty exciting. As a programmer, I’m extremely flexible but love to create controllers and systems. I always strive toward, and take a lot of pride in, creating systems that are easy to use and make sense in their structure. I find it to be an absolute pleasure to write code, and in my spare time, I have always worked on small passion projects. Mainly, I do this because I enjoy it, but also because it’s an excellent way to grow. Currently, I’m doing a deep dive into Unreal’s Gameplay Ability System for one of those projects. Beside all coding, I spend a lot of time with my family and friends. I consider myself an easy-going, social person who fits well into most social situations. I am considerate and respectful toward my surroundings and open and unpretentious with regard to my own persona. Even though 6 long years just ended I already miss being apart of a development team and now I’m looking for my next opportunity. I really hope you will consider me.
