About
👋 I’m Johnny, and I’m a jazz musician, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger from Adelaide.
I’ve received awards including the 2025 COMA Emerging Artist Award, 2024 GIJ Composition Competition, and the Don Burrows Award for Best Improviser and GIJ Future Finalist award in '23 & '24.
I’ve been commissioned by many Adelaide schools, a Harvard film student, and Medfield Animal Shelter to write works from big band to orchestral. I recently recorded my debut album of seven original pieces with leading young Adelaide jazz musicians, and perform regularly in big band and small ensembles.
