Designed custom cookbooks for chefs, food brands, and personal clients, weaving together recipes, personal images, stories, and handwritten-style notes into beautifully laid-out books built around the owner‘s personality and brand. Education

Graphic Design at Self-Directed Study: Udemy and Independent
January 4, 2011 - July 13, 2026
Studied Graphic Design independently from the ground up through various YouTube videos, Udemy, and other online courses, and the work and teaching of designers such as Chris Do, Will Patterson, and Daniel While, following their methodologies and design thinking, studying their processes, and applying lessons directly to client work. Continues to learn as new challenges arise, following one of her own learning methodologies: gets stuck, finds out how it’s done, moves forward.
Copywriting and Content Strategy at Self-Directed Study: Udemy and Coursera
July 13, 2026 - July 13, 2026
Pursued copywriting and content strategy through intensive self-study on Udemy, Coursera, and by watching various YouTube videos on the subject. Combined platform-based learning with real client work from day one, treating every project both as a deliverable and as a lesson.
Instructional Design at Self-Directed Study: OpenLearn and Coursera
July 13, 2026 - July 13, 2026
Formalized an intuition that had been driving her work for years: that how content is structured is just as important as what it says. Studied instructional design theory and methodology through OpenLearn and Coursera to put a rigorous framework behind an approach she had already been practicing with clients.
Psychology and UX at Self-Directed Study: Coursera
April 22, 2011 - July 13, 2026
Studied psychology and UX through Coursera, driven by the fascination with why people respond to content the way they do, and how to design for that response. Both disciplines feed directly into how she approaches messaging, layout, and content structure. Next stop: neuroscience.
Creative Writing at Online Course of Short Stories
July 13, 2026 - January 16, 2024
Completed an intimate six-person online short story writing course, which did what the best courses do: opened a door she hadn’t known was there. She’s now writing a book, a factional travel story about making peace with her inner critic. It isn’t finished yet, because neither is the peace.

Industry Experience

Education, Healthcare, Media & Entertainment, Real Estate & Construction, Travel & Hospitality, Other
    Textbook Design
I structured, typeset, and designed a textbook-style publication on a dense academic subject: nationalism and extremism. I used bullet lists, pull quotes, and callouts to break long passages into digestible sections, keeping the design clean and consistent throughout. The outcome was a polished layout that makes complex information easy to scan and revisit.
    Beauty Product Catalogue
I structured and designed a square-format product catalogue for a beauty brand. I gave the products generous breathing room, supported them by making a disciplined grid, restrained typography, and a clear information hierarchy. The outcome was a minimal, premium catalogue where the products take center stage.
    Fiction Book Design
I typeset and designed the interior for a fiction manuscript. My every design decision was made to keep the reading experience effortless and publication-ready. The outcome was a professionally designed book that lets the writing take center stage.
    Textbook Design
I structured, typeset, and designed a textbook about posture, combining explanatory text with instructional illustrations. I introduced an asymmetrical column layout instead of identical text blocks, and placed illustrations to reinforce concepts without breaking reading flow. The outcome was a clean, engaging textbook that makes technical content accessible.
    Short Story Collection Design
I structured, typeset, and designed a short story collection. Rather than relying on typography alone, I paired every new story with a mood-matched image to immerse readers even before they read the first sentence. The outcome was a beautifully presented collection where every opening spread invites readers into a new world.
    Journal Development
I developed the concept, did all the copy and design for an original 333-day gratitude journal, my own brand's product. Unlike typical gratitude journals with repetitive daily prompts, each entry pairs two consistent prompts with a unique daily question, and every page is designed to be cut out and kept, creating a physical "memory box" the reader can return to. It is still in production.
    Magazine Design (Lead Editorial Designer)
I was a lead designer for a magazine focused on art, and I was responsible for maintaining a consistent visual identity across every issue, dozens of articles, and multiple contributors. I also designed some articles myself, like this one on the right. The outcome of my work was a cohesive, minimal publication where every page feels part of the same unified reading experience.
    Magazine Article Layout
I structured and designed an editorial magazine article layout. I gave the opening spread room to breathe with an extended title treatment, spreading it on both pages, then organized the body into a clean two-column grid for long-form readability. The outcome was an editorial layout that keeps readers engaged from the start to the final paragraph.
    Travel Guide Design
I structured and designed a 10-page digital PDF travel guide for a cycling tour company exploring Peru, written from a local's perspective. The layout matched the content's energy, which was adventurous and warm, all while staying clear and easy to navigate on the go. The outcome was a guide that feels like it was written and designed by someone who actually loves Peru.
    Business Book Design
I structured and designed the interior layout for a 220-page business book introducing a new negotiation framework: the "Win-Win-Win" framework. I opened each chapter with a clear takeaways summary and built a layout that made a dense business manuscript feel like a guided conversation. The outcome was a business book that's as easy to read as it is to learn from.
    E-mail Nurture Sequence Development
I developed the content strategy, wrote, and designed a branching e-mail nurture sequence for a vacuum food storage brand. Rather than a single linear flow, I wrote multiple pathways depending on how the reader engaged with each e-mail, weaving the product in as the natural solution to problems the content itself raised. The outcome was a sequence that taught readers something useful and sold them something they needed.
    Travel Brochure Design
I structured and designed a travel brochure covering multiple destinations. The focal point was a striking landmark image on top of every page, followed by concise supporting text and a map for geographical context, with tour options laid out for easy scanning and comparison. The outcome was a visually engaging brochure that makes destinations easy to explore.
