This was my first game audio work ever. The work begun and was completed during the spring of 2019. The start of the global COVID pandemic made life and work very difficult but regardless I am very pleased with how the game turned out and the audio/music I was able to create. The game is fun and very play-intuitive so the I wanted to emphasise the feeling of freedom and discovery in the music.
Fat Bear Week was also selected as the Weekly Vote Winner in the Gave Development World Championship 2020 competition, among being selected as a Fan Favorite Finalist in the competition, and getting 2nd place in the Hobby category for the 2020 GDWC Awards!
As an audio professional at Suomenlinna my work consists producing, recording and mixing music for different artists. I have worked with fantastic artists and producers , such as Tommi “BommiTommi” Tikkanen, Raappana, Yona, Rebekka Holi, Ilkka Wirtanen, Mariska, Winter Witch, Sonja Selene, Mikael Saastamoinen, Samuli Rautiainen, and many others. Some of my other duties include assisting in the general managing of the studio: audio gear maintenance, communication, social media etc.

My duties consisted of working closely with the development team in the early stages of the game, pitching music ideas and SFX. I was able to learn the basics of Visual Studio and GitHub and how they are a crucial part of the workflow when developing a video game. For audio creation and implementation I utilised Unreal Engine, Metasounds and Logic Pro.
