Hi, I’m Kristopher Hatchett, a multidisciplinary audio professional based in Winchester, CA. I specialize in scoring, production, engineering, and sound design for film and music, collaborating with artists across hip hop, R&B, soul, and rock to craft polished, industry-ready tracks and scores.
Since 2016, I’ve freelanced on scores for Tubi films such as When Lines Are Crossed and The Photo Book, produced on short films like Humanoid and Screens, and contributed to commercial work for The Studios by CGL. I’ve engineered for Eyelektric and developed sonic identities for a range of artists. I also work remotely with the Eyelektric label team, delivering tracks on tight deadlines while guiding vocal arrangement, session workflow, and studio etiquette.

“Dying To Live” is a powerful, emotion-driven record I co-produced alongside Billboard producer and engineer Olivier Bassil. My main contributions were crafting the drums, bass, transitions, and percussive elements — building the heartbeat that gives the track its emotional depth and energy.
I used a variety of song structure and production techniques to create movement and tension throughout the record, ensuring every section felt purposeful and cinematic. Each element — from the punch of the kick to the subtle percussion layers — was designed to complement Davide’s performance and make the song hit harder emotionally and sonically.
This collaboration pushed my creativity to new levels, and I’m proud of the final result. You can listen and watch the official video for “Dying To Live” on YouTube here:
“Autobiography” was one of those records that came together through pure emotion and intention. When I first heard Aubren Jay’s vocal demo, I knew the production had to capture the honesty and vulnerability in his storytelling. I started by building a soulful foundation — a deep bass and layered samples that gave the track a raw yet polished feel, allowing his voice to take center stage.
Using Logic Pro and Pro Tools, I shaped the sonics with FabFilter and Slate Digital plugins to bring out the clarity and warmth in every element. The mix balances smooth dynamics with textured low end, while subtle saturation and tape-style compression add that nostalgic, lived-in tone.
Every sound was chosen to serve the story — pulling the listener deeper into Aubren’s truth. “Autobiography” isn’t just a record; it’s an experience. You can listen to the song and watch the official video on YouTube here:
