I trained in illustration at Wimbledon School of Art, London and worked for 25 years as a freelance illustrator in advertising and publishing. My work included original illustration in a variety of mediums: storyboards for film and TV, character origination, cartoons and cartoon strip development. For many years I worked as Raymond Brigg's approved illustrator for his agents Copyrights, where I produced original hand drawn and painted images of his characters The Snowman, Father Christmas, and Fungus the Bogeyman for clients Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury's, Volkswagen, Wedgwood, and Coalport. For the same agent I also worked on other characters Wallace & Gromit, and Paddington Bear. For several years I devised and drew 3 different comic strips for children for the newspaper group D.C.
