An ironic take on orientalism, Chinese Junk (Chunk) was arranged for my jazz fusion band Junk. It features the shakuhachi (Japanese traditional flute) playing a melody traditionally associated with Chinese, and has a breakdown section in the middle utilising extended techniques & unusual rhythmic groupings. jazz chinese japanese music
