Laura Hunter Drago is a Los Angeles-based writer. After growing up a painfully shy child with selective mutism, she found her voice through storytelling. Her latest project, the short satirical thriller TRADWIFE, is expected to premiere at festivals in 2026. She was named one of the Austin Film Festival’s “25 Screenwriters to Watch,” is a Film Independent Project Involve Screenwriting Fellow, and a Sony Pictures Entertainment Fellowship recipient. She wrote, directed, and produced the Webby Award Honoree scripted mystery podcast series THE CRIME AT CAMP ASHWOOD; directed and produced the Coven Film Festival runner-up animated short THE ECHO; and produced the award-winning, 100% woman-made feature TO THE NEW GIRL, featured on Little Dot Studios’ Created By Women channel.
