Observing, drawing and designing have always been a huge part of my life. Almost anything would trigger an idea for me to sketch or to create. From curtains to a dress, tree twigs to a house… I gravitate towards bright, intense colours, using colour pencil and acrylic paint as mediums and Photoshop. Influenced by my background in architecture, I visualize in 3D, often leaning towards paper collage as a technique. Cutting each character out and then placing them together to interact and to create a narrative, I feel like I am bringing the story and their personalities alive, almost as if in a movie set.\n\nFascinated by human characters, furry creatures and velvet mushrooms, I like my illustrations to be emotionally expressive, full of movement and uplifting, with a hint of humour. Drawing on my experience as a fashion designer, I love to depict the essence of fabrics and textures of different materials. Originally from the Czech Republic, I lived in the UK, but currently residing with my family in Gibraltar. I have been honoured to receive various awards for my figurative paintings, sculptures and illustrations. Recently I have been awarded first prize in a Zine international competition showcased in Gibraltar, St Vincent and Vienna and now showing in ICA London. My picture book The Great Rumble was published this November and was promoted during the Gibraltar Literary Festival 2025.

Picture Book - The Great Rumble
‘The great rumble‘ is a picture book of showing the preciousness of home and its fragility. The home with its safety and cosiness seems to be a norm to many, but to Sunny bunny and his friend Summer, the comforting feel of home was removed…can it be restored? Can the quest to return the known and the snugly be successful? From my time working in schools as an Special Needs Learning Assistant, I have been humbled to learn of the unfortunate family backgrounds of some children. It has inspired me to create this story about how feeling safe and at home can at times appear under threat and how hope and friendship is an essential element in our journey when faced with change and adversity. The target audience for this picture book is 4-8 years old. illustrator
