    The Queen of Bees

“The Queen of Bees” is a character-driven illustration built around the archetype of the queen as a symbol of power, control, and collective order. Inspired by the structure and hierarchy of a beehive, the piece explores the fusion of human and insect elements, creating a figure that exists between beauty and unease.

The visual focus is on a strong central character, supported by a symmetrical, almost iconic composition that reinforces a sense of dominance and stability. Organic textures and ornamental details contrast with the underlying tension of the subject, resulting in an image that feels both ceremonial and slightly unsettling. The goal was to create not just a character, but a myth-like presence that suggests a larger, unseen world.

ALBUM COVER DESIGN Szabó Balázs Bandája: Élet elvitelre

    ALBUM COVER DESIGN
This project is a cover design for Élet elvitelre (2014), an album by the Hungarian band Szabó Balázs Bandája. The band is known for blending folk, rock, and poetic songwriting, creating a distinctive sound where music and lyrics carry equal emotional weight and often draw from Hungarian cultural roots. ()

The visual concept reflects this layered and lyrical atmosphere through a symbolic and slightly narrative-driven approach. Instead of a literal depiction, the design focuses on mood and metaphor, aiming to evoke a sense of intimacy, fragility, and everyday poetry suggested by the album’s title (“Life to Take Away”). The composition emphasizes a balance between organic, almost handcrafted elements and a clear graphic structure, creating a visual language that resonates with the album’s introspective and emotionally textured world.

    Quimby / English Breakfast

This project is a cover design for English Breakfast, an English-language release by the Hungarian alternative band Quimby, known for their poetic lyrics, eclectic sound, and slightly surreal, often ironic tone.

The visual concept avoids literal interpretation and instead focuses on a symbolic, minimal approach. A central crown motif becomes the key element, balancing associations of British identity with a subtle sense of absurdity and playfulness—echoing the band’s artistic character. The composition is intentionally clean and bold, aiming for strong recognizability while leaving space for interpretation, much like the music itself.
