Contributed to a creative team producing social media content that showcased student-led projects from the University of Plymouth’s Degree Show 2025. Focusing on work that responded to the themes of ‘Sea For Yourself’, part of a programme led by Plymouth Culture, focusing on how we can reconnect the city with the ocean through art, design, and storytelling. Responsibilities included content planning, copywriting, visual curation, and scheduling.
A children’s picture book I wrote and illustrated that demonstrates the importance of real life play over digital play, attempting to encourage young readers to take a step back from modern-day technology and to enjoy being outdoors more again.
An educational picture book I wrote and illustrated for children of ages 3-5 that raises awareness on animal endangerment and finding ways to protect animal’s habitats. It follows a story of 5 different endangered species and their realisation of threat of extinction within their forest habitat. The purpose of the book is to educate young children with environmental messages and becoming aware of endangered animals, where they can be found and what can be done to protect them.
Redesigned the logo for the Welsh Society at the University of Plymouth, creating a modern and representative visual identity. Focused on balancing cultural heritage with contemporary design to enhance the society’s branding and recognition.
My work as a Children’s Book Illustrator involved designing engaging, narrative-driven visuals, collaborating closely with an author to bring her story to life. I was responsible for overseeing the complete book design and layout, ensuring a cohesive and visually compelling final product - handling character design, environment design, and book layout. Additionally, I developed comprehensive branding and promotional materials to effectively market the book and enhance its audience engagement. This experience strengthened my ability to develop cohesive visual storytelling, ensuring each illustration not only complemented the narrative but also captivated young readers. In addition, this experience helped sharpen my collaborative skills, particularly in working remotely across time zones and cultures.
