    The concept of a controller for Echelon Fitness Multimedia’s “Row” brand of exercise products was brought to me. The proposed idea was for a simple membrane cover button pad. I created options for that proposal, but then offered a third. A paddle-shift style controller. The video game controller style paddle shift was the clear winner. After a few rounds of sketching, a final design was settled upon and sent to the manufacturer.
