Hey, I graduated from UCL with a First Class Honours with a degree in English Language and Literature BA this year, and during which I've been proactive in gaining my first few experiences in industry, as well as starting my own projects. This has included an internship experience with Sony Universal Music Studios, specialising in directorial and visual graphic work, where I really got to grips with the nature of fast-paced client work, working alongside the design team. I was part of film and digital partnership development working in cross channel communication, multi-market planning and managing platforms like Workplace. I've worked in film direction and assisting for more than 3+ years in India and have been in London for three years now, hoping to pivot in the British film industry. I have acted in positions of third and second AD for multiple film and commercial shoots. I have also made nine short films of my own, completely self-written and am currently working on a short film right now thus, consistently developing my knowledge of the logistical and creative aspects of a fast paced set, contributing to the weekly ideas meetings, suggesting three scene edits that ended up being used within the film that hit the theatre. In my own time, I have also founded a film and media networking club, founded on the belief that the London film industry's glass ceiling needs to be shattered with weekly networking events and screenplay writing workshops. This project has definitely taught me a lot about business management, and the importance of keeping yourself motivated. As a result of expanding our network, we have tracted attention from magazines such as The Times, Guardian and Out Magazine to cover our events. I'm now looking to expand my skills and strengths within an in-house role, alongside a dedicated team and I can't imagine a better place to do this than with this opportunity. Knowing about the company culture, it seems like you have created an inclusive and supportive environment where proactivity is encouraged - something I definitely see as a personal strength. I believe my skills and experiences so far would be a great match for this position, and it would be amazing to have the chance to discuss the role further. Thank you for taking the time to review my application; I look forward to hearing from you!
