My name is María Agüera. I have training in various fields, including communication, teaching, and web development. Regarding the latter, I have completed a Higher Vocational Training program at Ilerna, an official center for online and in-person vocational training. Since June 2025, I have been doing an internship with a start-up called Api Accelerate. I am reaching out to apply for a position as a junior Full Stack, Front End, or Back End developer. Below, I will detail the different technologies and programming languages I have worked with during my course and internship, as well as on an app project in which I am collaborating with a senior software engineer: On the server side, I have learned to manage databases using MySQL, developed by Oracle, and I have also worked with PostgreSQL. I have gained practical experience with languages such as Java, PHP, C++, and Python, using IDEs like Eclipse and Visual Studio Code. Additionally, I have worked with a cross-platform local web server like XAMPP to learn how to use Apache simultaneously with other technologies such as PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Tomcat, which allowed me to deploy a web application. I also have experience with version control using Git and GitHub, as well as in creating and managing containers with Docker. On the client side, I have experience with languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, the JavaScript library jQuery, and React. I hold a C1 Advanced certificate from Cambridge, which enables me to work on projects requiring advanced English skills without any difficulty. I enjoy taking on new challenges and am a hardworking and responsible person. Persistence is one of my strongest qualities, as well as my ability to adapt to different circumstances. I consider myself organized, yet flexible and eager to learn. Therefore, I am willing to continue training in other technologies and adapt to changes in the sector. I enjoy working in a team and am open to anything that can help me improve. A reflection of my flexibility and adaptability is my previous experience outside of web development. As mentioned at the beginning, I have worked as a teacher of both English and Social Sciences subjects. I have given private lessons, taught in academies to students of all ages and levels for a decade, and worked in the School Support Program (PROA) in secondary schools. Additionally, I have worked as an exam invigilator, supervising Cambridge exams at various levels. Finally, having studied journalism, I also have experience in the communication sector, having written articles for different publications.
