I am an aspiring researcher with a particular interest in reproductive health, the consequences of socioeconomic diversity, and the cultivation of relationships. I have recently completed a Master’s in Social Anthropology, following a Bachelor’s in Human Sciences, both at the University of Oxford. The variety of approaches covered in both courses supplies me with a comprehensive understanding of a range of topics, from the evolution of modern chronic diseases to the importance of television in constructing personal identity to cross-cultural understandings of power dynamics in medical settings. During both degrees, I opted to conduct ethnographic research to supplement my dissertations, the data from which I consequently synthesised, applied, and presented. My undergraduate research involved interviewing mothers from diverse backgrounds. In my postgraduate studies, I conducted online interviews with women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies, during which sensitivity and understanding were of the utmost importance. Both investigations were conducted in line with the Central University Research Ethics Committee guidelines, and I was always conscious of this while practising research and protecting my data. In addition to my research, I conducted an in-depth literature review to support my findings. As a remote research assistant for Profs. Whitehouse and Francois, I improved and professionally utilised the skills gained frm my independent research .
