I create stop-motion and 2D animation with a strong sense of emotion and storytelling. My stop-motion work taught me how to build emotion, rhythm, and detail in every frame, which I now bring into my 2D animation. I've been focusing on Moho, creating rigged characters and refining my animation workflow. I'm open to test tasks and plan to expand my Moho portfolio at the beginning of the year to better reflect my current direction. I love collaborating with creative teams and would be thrilled to contribute to your upcoming project with cultural and storytelling depth. Warm regards, Maryana Rudakova Stop motion & 2D animator / director

paper Claymation stop motion animation Cloudy Day

“Cloudy Day” was created in support of Nouns TV and the Nouns Festival in 2024 in Warsaw. Maryana Rudakova, a Belarusian director and animator at Knikni Studio, won the idea and storyboard competition. The project’s preparations started on May 24. Maryana built props for the film and designed the character. Filming began in June and lasted until mid-August.

During the project, many backstage and interview videos were filmed and edited. The result is a 1-minute 18-second claymation animated short about a Cloud, her life, and her needs. It explores themes of burnout and the importance of allowing oneself time to recover.

The short was presented to a wide audience at the Nouns Festival in October 2024 in Los Angeles. Now, “Cloudy Day” has been submitted to many festivals and is awaiting its turn.
