With 8 years of experience, I worked on staff as an engineer and producer at La Luna Recording & Sound (MI) and at Wheelwright Recording Studio (SC). Now based in Nashville, for the past 2 years I've worked as a freelance mix engineer from my home studio and a studio assistant at a variety of studios, including Wildwood Studio, Wheelhouse Studio and Welcome to 1979. I also work for Epic Games, editing popular songs for implementation in the new Jam Stage video game mode in Fortnite: Chapter 5. Having a musically diverse background has shaped my intuitive approach to mixing—during my time as a music performance major at Coastal Carolina University, I took advanced mixing and mastering courses and produced/mixed an eclectic variety of projects for the CCU recording studio. Also educated in jazz voice and arranging, I have a strong ear for tuning vocals, strings, horns (etc.) and for finding balances and tones that serve and elevate the arrangement of the song. Many of the artists I've worked with have expressed appreciation for the instinctive musicality that guides my editing and mixing. This has also been a valuable tool in communicating with artists to understand and achieve their creative vision.
