Drawing from a strong background in jazz performance, orchestration, and contemporary media scoring, he brings a versatile and emotionally driven musical voice to every project. Mathew was the recipient of the 2023 Best Original Score Bronze Award at the Independent Shorts Awards for his work on The Dead Driver starring Lance E. Nichols, and was also a finalist for the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Awards. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance from University of Louisville, where he studied as a guitar scholarship student, and earned a Master of Fine Arts in Media Composition and Orchestration with Merit from University of Chichester. As a guitarist and music director, he toured nationally with Linkin’ Bridge, opening for artists including Backstreet Boys, Commodores, Frankie Beverly & Maze, and Babyface.
