My name is Matt Surridge and I am a filmmaker from upstate New York. I recently graduated from Ithaca College with a Major in Cinema and Photography and a Minor in Writing for Screen Media. As a storyteller, I made it my goal to work in a wide variety of roles on and off set and to passionately study the history of my crafts in order to better understand as much as I can of the art of filmmaking. As a director, I have made three short films and in my work as a cinematographer, I have been a part of many short projects. I have utilized a variety of digital and analog cameras and I have a passion for older gear. I love collecting and incorporating vintage lenses and even older film stocks into my work to create unique looks and storytelling strategies for each and every project that I am a part of. I have also written and edited many shorts for myself and my peers and I hope to continue this work down the road as well.
