Hi, my name is Matthew Bute. I grew up in a small town, and the youngest of large family. At about age 3, after hearing my brother do his weekly piano practice, i sat down at the piano and was able to sound out the musical piece he had been working on for weeks. It was like my fingers just intuitively knew a foreign language. So over the years, as i was able to get my hands on different instruments, i was able to just trust my ears and let my fingers do the talking. Now that i knew my passion, i decided to persue schooling for music production/audio engineering. I graduated second in my class with a 3.8 GPA, and have been further honing my craft for the last 15 years or so. Lead Audio/Video at Insurance Exam Queen
April 13, 2024 - October 16, 2025
My main role at Insurance Exam Queen was editing all lessons and voice over audio clips and fitting them to slide show video presentations, which were then bundled and sold as a module learning course. I also made "subliminal meditation" (long form, story building) videos with original music as part of the study guide courses. I was simply given raw, pre-recorded audio clips and form them into clean, cohesive lessons. Clean up any harsh sibilance and room noise with EQ, compression, "de-S", etc.. I would then take the completed audio and fit it to timed slides in a slide show presentations, which would then be rendered as .mp4 videos. Finally, I would upload the completed video to Youtube, where i was also responsible for uploading short form (which were chopped from the longer lessons) three times per week.
