Hi! I’m Maya, I’m a freelance illustrator and animator living in Utrecht.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication from Shenkar Academy of Design, and five years of professional experience. As a freelancer I gained experience illustrating children’s books, creating animated educational videos, and designing illustrated branding for tech companies. Legion Security

Branding for "Legion Security", an AI security tool that is trained and automated by the client. We imagined the tool as a mighty dragon that serves a kingdom, and is trained by a warrior princess. We represented it's growth from baby to adult, developing and learning. I wanted the character to feel majestic and intimidating, but also loyal and friendly - a trusted companion that will always protect you! Check out the website at https://www.twine.net/signin

Secret Sauce

Concept illustrations I made for an in-house tech brand. The mission of this branding was attracting candidates to come work for the company, so we imagined the company as a gormet restaurant and the candidates as a "Secret Sauce".

Eleos Health

The re-branding of "Eleos", a startup company that developed an AI tool for therapists. I worked on this project as the lead illustrator, creating the visual language of the brand. In this new illustrative language, I wanted to convey a feeling of softness and comfort; a feeling of warmness, saying "we've got your back". Check out the website at https://www.twine.net/signin
