My name is Mel Guérison and I'm an award-winning composer, producer, vocalist & multi-instrumentalist based in PDX. I've scored music for twelve shorts, four features & several trailers in the last few years, many which have gone to great festivals or been distributed by Lionsgate & Oscilloscope. I've won two international festival awards for Best Score in the last year, both for a feature & a short. I've collaborated with a lot of fantastic directors & have written many different kinds of music across genres for drama, narrative coming of age, thrillers, documentaries, dance films & more. My scores have ranged from minimal strings, guitar, piano, synths to atmos sound design, warped instruments, synth hybrid, brass, woodwinds, percussion, orchestral strings, vocals, full-band songs & diegetic music. I'm a classically trained violinist, pianist, guitarist, vocalist and drummer, have a music degree and extensive knowledge in theory, ProTools, engineering, mixing, mastering and performance.
