As an FSY counselor I traveled and worked in locations around the United States including Las Vegas, NV and San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities included being an example to the kids, keeping head counts, practicing good time-management, safety precautions, and establishing a welcoming and loving environment. FSY taught me what true hard work and sacrifice look like and helped me develop valuable communication skills for life and employment.

At the BYU-Idaho support center I answered phone calls and addressed questions about the university, classes, financial aid, or other academic inquiries. I transferred calls to other departments, multitasked by typing while listening, and searched for information quickly and efficiently. This role strengthened my teamwork and communication with coworkers and callers.
