Hi! I'm Melody. I'm a Graphic Design graduate from Northumbria University. I'm an eager and innovative designer with a passion for packaging and branding projects, and would describe myself as an extremely driven individual with a "go get it" attitude. I enjoy pushing myself, learning from others, and always try to think outside of the box when generating ideas to produce original and engaging outcomes. In terms of qualifications, prior to University I studied a BTEC Extended Diploma in Graphic Design at Newcastle College, where I received a DDM grade overall (Distinction, Distinction, Merit.) A Distinction is the highest grade achievable at this level, with a Merit being the second highest achievable. I graduated Northumbria University in July of 2024 and was awarded a 2:1 degree qualification (an upper second class honours,) which is the second highest grade achievable at a bachelor honours level. My freelance journey began whilst I was still a student at University, and I have been doing it ever since with upmost enthusiasm. Since graduating, I have now fully embraced working freelance and have really enjoyed taking on my own clients, and building a trusting relationship with them. I am now at the stage where I am looking to really expand on my client base, and get myself out there to the rest of the world. In terms of past projects, so far I have mainly been working with new start up businesses and web agencies- working with them to craft their brand identity and logos. I have most recently been working with a company called "Waterway Labs," creating two new logos for them to use on their webpage for two totally different concepts (one being a logo for a golf business, the other being a cooking related business.) I have also worked with "TMG Building Supplies," creating social media posts advertising the products which they sell on their website. My most recent work has been for a brand new company called "Aerovision," a business which sells Satellites, Aerials, and CCTV cameras. I was given the task of coming up with the company's branding and to create a brand new logo for them, as well as giving my suggestions on colour palettes for the business to use.
