An Invisible Monster

Depression is an invisible monster… an ongoing personal battle with yourself. Although we may be aware of the importance of mental health, society yet has some catching up to do.

Especially in women, we are often under a lot of pressure from different expectations… keeping the smiley facade, being pretty while smart at the same time. We also juggle between caretaking and our careers, yet most of our issues aren’t being taken as seriously as men’s.

✍️ In lieu of this, I composed a song based on experiences from myself and other women. Featuring the talented vocalist Natalia Ungstad, this song is inspired by Schubert’s lieder style, Claude Michel Schöneberg (Les Miserables) and Beethoven’s tumultuous musical anguish, An Invisible Monster is soon to be released! #vocal #classicalmusic #depression #pianist
