Mikhaela Martin is an Italo-Brazilian multidisciplinary artist and designer whose practice bridges painting, illustration, and large-scale public art with community-driven engagement. With experience across Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, her work is deeply informed by cultural context, urban environments, and social narratives. Her practice centers on the relationship between art, space, and people, often developed through workshops, educational initiatives, and collaborative processes that actively involve local communities. Mikhaela’s projects frequently focus on empowering underrepresented voices, particularly women and young people, using art as a tool for inclusion and transformation. In collaboration with the Barcelona City Council, she led art workshops for women in vulnerable situations, culminating in the painting of local shop façades. These projects were rooted in close dialogue with neighborhood communities. In parallel, she has developed educational and participatory art programs in schools, ensuring that students’ perspectives directly shape the final artworks. Notable projects include the transformation of a basketball court in Reus, where students were invited to reinterpret the court’s line art while Nina Simone’s Feeling Good played throughout the process, contributing to a meaningful shift in how the school was perceived within the local community. At Farigola School in Barcelona, Mikhaela led a mural project that began with workshops in art history and spray-painting techniques, allowing children to co-create the final mural through drawings and collective discussion. In Madrid, she transformed a street basketball court, exploring themes of perseverance and resilience. The project concluded with a community game organized by Netflix and Movistar, and the court continues to serve as an active public space for the local community. Her work reflects a strong sensitivity to space shaped by her background within a family of landscape architects. Through public art and collaborative practices, Mikhaela uses visual language to transform spaces and foster lasting community impact. Her clients include international brands such as Netflix, Movistar, Vans, New Balance, Sephora, Cartier, and Kiehl’s, for whom she has produced bespoke artworks, brand activations, and large-scale installations. uniE621 H&M
Dubai, UAE This project celebrated the reopening of the flagship H&M store at Dubai Mall after a six-month transformation. The initiative aimed to reposition H&M as a credible fashion brand and create a unique experience that would attract visitors on the grand opening day. The scope of this project included the full creative concept and design execution for the H&M x Elyanna Blind Box campaign. Responsibilities encompassed developing the box design, collectible contents, patterns, and illustrations, all inspired by Elyanna’s mystical universe of suns, moons, and symbolic coins, while integrating H&M’s Arabic branding and product identity. The design captured the mystery and excitement of viral blind box culture, where customers received a box with a chance to win a golden coin granting exclusive access to the H&M x Elyanna event at Arte Museum later that day. By merging Elyanna’s celestial and poetic aesthetic with H&M’s elevated branding, the campaign generated buzz, drove in-store footfall, and encouraged high social media engagement, turning the reopening into a cultural moment.

Graphic Design Projects With over nine years of experience, I’ve delivered design projects across Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East — working between Florence, Barcelona, São Paulo, Madrid, and Dubai. My work spans branding, editorial design, digital campaigns, and promotional materials for clients in fashion, architecture, luxury, and lifestyle. I’ve worked both as a freelance designer and as a creative director, leading teams and managing full creative processes — from concept to delivery — always with strategic thinking and a strong attention to detail. I’m proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and also work fluently with Procreate, Keynote, Canva, and basic animation tools. In addition to my design background, I’m also a visual artist. I create large-scale hand-painted projects such as basketball courts, murals, and illustrations — often blending analog techniques with digital design. This dual perspective allows me to bring a tactile, human dimension to my creative process when the project calls for it. logo graphicdesigner webdesigner designer illustrator branding

uniE621 Basketball Court for Netflix & Movistar
Madrid, Spain Commissioned by Netflix and Movistar, this basketball court mural was created to celebrate the release of the film Hustle. The project transformed a public court in Madrid into a dynamic space that merges street culture, sport, and contemporary art. The scope of this project included the full creative and production process — from concept development and design to on-site execution. Responsibilities covered visual direction, selection of paint and materials, coordination of logistics, and the complete painting of the court. The design, characterized by bold lines, fluid shapes, and a vivid color palette, brought new energy to the urban environment. A community basketball game was held during the launch, allowing local players to interact with the space and marking the court as a new point of pride in the neighborhood. The project received significant recognition. It was featured on Netflix’s official channels, highlighted by the Madrid City Council across its platforms, and covered by local television and press — celebrating its cultural and social impact on the city. https://www.instagram.com/p/CejPJWGNmhH/?img_index=1 illustrator graphicdesigner
