I’m a character designer and illustrator based in Seoul, with a BFA in Character Animation from CalArts. My characters start as simple, rough shapes and grow into cute, warm personalities, and I shape the tone to fit each project, from pastel brand mascots to nostalgic short films and TV.
My animated short BUS ‘83 aired on SBS, a Korean national broadcaster, won three awards and was recognized at 15 international film festivals. I designed the characters and painted the backgrounds for the teaser of Heart Signal 4, a long-running Korean TV dating show, and created the hand-drawn animated characters in VROWN’s music video Itsy Bitzy (Fettuccine). My original character stickers on GIPHY have passed 16 million views.
I take on character design, illustration, 2D animation and visual development work, including props and environments. I work fluently in English and Korean and keep projects organized with clear schedules and early updates.

An animated short I wrote, directed, designed and animated. Hand-drawn 2D characters move through 44 backgrounds built from 3D models, in a warm story about a character on the edge of burnout and the single joyful moment that turns the day around. An original character IP I created and run. Roni the pizza and the topping friends, eight characters in all, each set out to find who they want to be in Crustovia, a city where every ingredient is learning who it is. Each character carries the personality and color of its own ingredient. It started as a single GIPHY sticker in 2020 and grew into 8 characters and 24 stickers, which have passed 16 million views on GIPHY. https://www.twine.net/signin

Founded a podcast about creative careers and how artists navigate the industry. I handle guest outreach, research, interviewing, recording, editing and publishing, and I created the show's visual branding, illustrations and promotional motion graphics.
Designed and animated characters for a children's animated show, working remotely with an international team, and revised the character lineup as the project developed. Also pitched merchandise ideas that were adopted, then researched vendors, managed the production schedule and delivered the merchandise in person to the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
