    uniE621 Revitalizing Afro-Punk
This series of images aims to revitalize a lesser-known and recognized part of the alternative/metal scene, by showcasing the participation of black individuals. I felt uncomfortable being part of the few people of colour in these spaces. I was inspired by the slow resurgence of Afro-punk, which celebrates black culture in alternative music, so I sought out to reimagine it by involving my community in the form of editorial fashion. This photo series has allowed me to win the 2024 Applied Arts Student Awards. If you want to view the rest of my project, please check out my website linked in my bio! photo fashion photography punk
