Wendy came to me with the need of a new website before her course went live in April. This was a chance for me to get to grips with a software that I haven’t used in a while but is massively effective to create websites with.
We started out with a consultation call to get to grips with what wendy wanted and her branding that has recently been updated by a third party. Wendy has an established business so matching the current branding throughout her social media, print media and website is massively important.
We used wordpress to design a professional, relatable and adaptable website that works for CICs. This included adding third party plugins and linking marketing tools.
This client invested in my Portfolio Promotion Package, which included a full website design, branding consultation, and custom logo design. We kicked things off with a 40-minute branding session where we explored her target audience, business goals, and the values, vision, and mission behind her brand. These conversations became the foundation for the creative direction, shaping everything from the colour palette to the overall brand identity.
From there, I got to work designing a range of logo concepts tailored to Lisa’s vision. As with any creative process, it took a little refining to find the perfect fit — and after several revisions and collaborative tweaks, we landed on a logo she absolutely loved. The final design featured a circular element, which we also adapted into a coaching technique logo to create a cohesive and recognisable brand identity.
Next came the website design — one of the most enjoyable projects to work on. Lisa had a clear vision for what she wanted to achieve, which made the collaboration both exciting and productive. It gave us the perfect balance between bringing her ideas to life and ensuring everything worked effectively from a user experience and web design perspective. Despite a few launch hiccups along the way, I’m thrilled to say the website is now live, and most importantly, Lisa is delighted with the final results.
My first freelance client was relaunching their business and needed a full branding consult and website design.
For this, we discussed the current business plan and what they felt they needed in their brand. We looked at the colours they loved together and what they wanted to achieve with the new website.
With this, I designed a selection of logo options from our discussions, varying colours within the same family. We tweaked the logo from of their choosing and colours to include what they loved from each and brainstormed a tag line to go along with the logo that helps clients understand the business straight away.
Then the website! This was a little harder with tweaks and changes to the goal of the site, and we finally got something that delivers for their clients with contact forms, banners, pop-ups, services, events (allowing customers to purchase tickets) and the ability to add e-commerce in the future.
