I’m Mona Elkateb, a visual artist from Cairo, Egypt. With formal studies in Politics and Development Studies at SOAS and Human Rights at the London School of Economics, I channel my passion for social causes into my art.
I work across children’s illustration, logo design, fine art, digital illustration, and painting in acrylic and oil. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with Myrna Ayad, the Dubai Arts Club, Mindfood Publishing, and others. My work has been featured on Vice, the Wilson Center in DC, Duke University’s Journal of Middle Eastern Women’s Studies, and Courrier International. In Cairo, my art has been shown in galleries including Motion Gallery and Ubuntu.
