For thirty years I’ve worked with moving images as part of a motion and graphic design career. My degree training in typography and multimedia led me to an independent production company right after college, where I was lucky to contribute to multi-part series and learn a great deal. This foundation let me experiment more over the years, using scripts, storyboards, textures, colour, typography and designed elements to create strongly branded, visually eye-catching solutions that fill any black holes in the cut when an explanation is needed but can’t be filmed. For example: information graphics, timelines, or a family tree that sit seamlessly inside the film and take cues from its visual language. Corporate video and television documentary work have evolved a lot over the decades, with higher production values and expectations that I’ve aimed to match, and I’m always looking forward to the next challenge.
