I’m Mary Kerr, a composer and recording engineer residing in Texas.
I have a Bachelor’s in Music Composition with Honors from Texas Tech University. My professional experience includes working on a recording team doing live concerts, teaching piano lessons, and composing music for collaborations with performers, artists, and choreographers. With my classically trained background and my love for electronic music, I combine visual, electronic, and acoustic elements in my compositions. I primarily use Logic Pro X to compose music, but I also have experience with notation apps and Pro Tools.
My goal on Twine is to gain as much experience as possible. I work hard, I work fast, and I produce results that fit my clients’ wants and needs. I’m never afraid to try and learn something new along the way, and my genre pool is constantly expanding.

“Fairy” is one of my favorite compositions that I have done. It’s a lighthearted electronic piece inspired by the Lo-Fi genre. I learned a lot about using texture and noise in music while composing this piece back in 2024.

During my time in university, I made it a point to collaborate with as many other disciplines as I could manage. I ended up doing a total of 5 collaborations with choreographers, most including 2+ choreographers and 1-9 dancers. My music for dance tends to be electronic in nature, containing synths combined with chamber instruments.

“Far Voices” is an electronic piece that was written to accompany a series of artworks as a part of a larger concert presentation at Texas Tech University. The inspiration behind the piece was the first ever footage taken of a live colossal squid on the 100th year anniversary of the species being discovered.
