    Barbing saloon slot booking web application.

    Situation / Problem:

    Young Money Fashion, a barbing saloon in Yaounde is observing a growth in customer base. This is increasing customer waiting times at the barbing saloon, causing their hairstylists to work under pressure and costing them some high value customers as people get discouraged waiting in line and leave to get their hair/beauty treatment elsewhere.

    Task / Objective

    The objective of the project was to create a mobile-friendly slot booking portal for hairstyling service, which will permit customers to:
    Book hairstyling/esthetic treatment session.
    Schedule their appointment date/time.
    Choose their preferred venue (at the saloon or their location)
    Make their payment upfront (straight from their mobile money wallets) to secure their slot.
    Obtain a ticket number and possibly downloading their ticket (in PDF format)

    Actions taken:

    Approached the proprietors to understand their bottlenecks, and we exchanged ideas on getting possible solutions, I gathered requirements. Built the API to handle the system and business logic.
    Integrated a payment gateway for seamless online payments
    Connected a BaAS serverless postgres database.
    Designed the User Interface with auth-based admin panel for content and customer management.
    Trained the staff on how to securely use the software (file uploads, edits, deletes), ticket verification, cashing out system generated revenues.
    Deployed the application.
