Natalie Wu
Seeking 2024 Summer Internship in animation/visual development. Aspiring animator looking to grow my network.
My passion for animation sparked during my childhood, when I accidentally animated a lion dancing. The effects of the lion bopping it’s head to the music was intriguing to me when I was a kid. That was when I had the desire to do this as a career.
Today, I’m currently a sophomore majoring in animation/illustration learning the fundamentals of what it takes to be an amazing animator. I’ve learned programs like ToonBoom, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to learn more about animation and visual development. I’m also currently in the Game Development Club learning hands on about how animation is implemented onto programs such as Unity.
In the future, I’m hoping to get a 2024 Summer internship in animation.

In this job, I was commissioned to create 8 backgrounds for Maya’s animation: Violation, an animated short film about how Quint, a graverobber visits the haunted house of the Thrombones. Every week, I would create a background based on the storyboards provided to me by the director. Once I finish the rough draft of the background design, I send it to the director, as she requests for changes to be made to the background over time.
