In 2014-2015 I worked in 2D games, predominantly in Photoshop and Illustrator, designing characters, background, assets and UI. I rigged and animated using After Effects, Esoteric Spine (software specialized in 2D animation for games) and Unity game engine. A considerable part of my experience is related to children educational interactive content. It is designed to teach English as a first or second language. The mini games consist of challenges and interactions with animal characters that test and develop knowledge of words, the alphabet, colours, shapes and numbers.     Bad Taste Bears are collectible figurines loved by tens of thousands of fans worldwide. Some are cute, others are naughty and some are just totally totally wrong. The game will be comprised of a series of fast paced mini-games, each featuring a different classic Bad Taste Bears character, staying true to the unique feel of the original figurines, built around unusual and funny interactions between the players and their mobile devices.     Born from the primordial soup, Splemy sets out on a journey to find his creator. Using a familiar slingshot mechanic to guide him through 75 levels of an intense and strange world, you will visit mysterious and atmospheric caves, colorful mushroom forests and eventually a dangerous abandoned factory. Available for download here. On this project I created all the backgrounds in Unity, building depth with multiple layers and creating creatures and structures. I pushed the initial visual concept further, creating rich environments with an increased sense of depth and atmosphere. I also designed and digitally painted the promotional artwork and developed assets to be used in the overworld and created achievement icons, using Photoshop, Corel Painter, Maya and Keyshot. #illustration #environmentdesign #Photoshop #UnityWW
