Wingwise
A flight planning and insights platform designed to help users make faster, smarter travel decisions by simplifying complex flight data.
Project Overview
Wingwise is a concept digital product that helps users compare flight options more clearly by focusing on what actually matters to them, like price, duration, stops, and convenience. The goal was to reduce decision fatigue and make flight planning feel less overwhelming.
Role: UX/UI Designer
Platform: Web
Timeline: Concept project
Tools: Figma
Problem
Users often struggle with flight booking platforms because they present too much information at once. Comparing prices, durations, layovers, and timings across multiple options becomes mentally exhausting, leading to poor decisions or abandoned searches.
The challenge was to design an interface that simplifies comparison without hiding critical details.
Research & Understanding
I started by reviewing common pain points in existing flight booking platforms and informal user feedback. Key insights included:
Users want to compare flights quickly without switching tabs or scrolling endlessly
Price alone isn’t enough. Time, stops, and comfort strongly influence decisions
Information overload increases anxiety and slows decision-making
These insights guided the structure and prioritization of information in the interface.
UX Approach
I focused on clarity, hierarchy, and flow.
Defined a clear user journey from search to comparison
Designed user flows that minimize unnecessary steps
Prioritized essential flight details while keeping secondary information accessible
Used progressive disclosure to avoid overwhelming the user
Low-fidelity wireframes helped validate layout and information order before moving to UI design.
UI Design
The visual design emphasizes readability and focus.
Clean layout with strong typographic hierarchy
Consistent spacing and alignment to improve scannability
Color used selectively to highlight important actions and differences
Components designed to be reusable and scalable
The goal was not decoration, but confidence and ease of use.
Final Outcome
The final design presents flight options in a way that makes comparison faster and more intuitive. Users can quickly understand trade-offs between options and feel more confident in their choices.
This project strengthened my ability to simplify complex information, design clear user flows, and translate user needs into structured, functional interfaces.
