I recently graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Advertising and double minors in Japanese and Business. It took me a few major changes to figure out what I wanted to do, but everything clicked when I took a website design class during my junior year. There I was, sitting in a room full of graduate students with way more experience than me, clutching my laptop and wondering what CMYK even meant. Yet something about design felt unfamiliar and natural at the same time. It was like I had been waiting my whole life to hyperfixate on the perfect font for a header. Since then, I've become passionate about combining strategy and design to create thoughtful visual experiences. I love the intersection of storytelling, communication, and problem-solving, and finding creative ways to connect with people through design. I've worked as a designer for the Daily Emerald, FLUX, and Align Magazine, creating layouts and visual content for both print and digital platforms, while also working for the University of Oregon Business Affairs Office managing assets across multiple departments. Whether I'm building a brand, designing a publication, or debating typefaces for far too long, I'm always looking for ways to turn ideas into meaningful visual stories.
