I was born in Saint Petersburg in 1994 and trained as a sociologist in 2015. Though I started my professional journey in sociology, my passion for cinema led me to teach myself various filmmaking skills, including editing and color grading in the commercial sphere. In 2019, I took a big step by enrolling in the directors’ workshop at St Petersburg School of New Cinema, where I was able to hone my craft. Since then, I have worked extensively as a film director, cinematographer, and editor, earning accolades such as editing the short film “Trap” that won the Golden Bear at Berlinale Shorts 2022. I am excited to bring my first feature film, "I Have Never Been Here," to completion by 2025. My journey reflects a mix of self-driven learning and formal education, and I embrace storytelling through multiple facets of cinema. I enjoy collaborating on projects across different types of media and continuing to grow my skills in cinematography, editing, and directing.
