Computer Freaks is a narrative podcast from Inc. Magazine exploring the early internet era and the people who shaped it. I handled full post production across the series, including dialogue editing, audio cleanup, sound design, and final mix. The interviews came from a wide range of recording environments, each requiring tailored restoration and balancing to create a consistent, natural sound. I shaped pacing and clarity across multi-voice storytelling, then built out the sound design using music and effects to support tone, transitions, and narrative momentum. The goal was to elevate the story while keeping the dialogue grounded and intelligible throughout. This work received a 2023 Signal Award for Best Sound Design.
The Money with Katie Show was a flagship personal finance podcast from Morning Brew, blending financial education with sharp, personality-driven storytelling. I handled editing, mixing, and sound design across 300+ episodes on a tight weekly schedule, helping shape the show’s sonic identity through music, effects, cold opens, and overall pacing. I also built and mixed 100+ ad spots, integrating host reads and dynamic placements with strong tonal consistency.
I joined Morning Brew at the launch of its podcast division, contributing to the foundation and growth of its audio operation, including early flagship shows like Business Casual. Across The Money with Katie Show, I guided and monitored hundreds of remote recordings, ensuring high-quality capture, and managed episodes through final delivery, including publishing and ad integration. Consistent, high-quality production helped the show surpass 12M+ downloads and 150K monthly listeners, supporting its growth into a leading voice in the finance podcast space.
Diabolical Lies is an independently produced Substack podcast blending culture, politics, and commentary through long-form, free-flowing conversations between its hosts. The show has grown to 55k+ subscribers and reached #1 Rising and #2 Best Selling in Substack’s Culture category, driven by a direct-to-audience model without traditional advertising. I lead full post-production, editing and mixing extended dialogue to shape pacing while preserving the natural tone and chemistry between hosts. This includes removing filler and repetition, managing crosstalk, and ensuring clarity across long-form discussions. I also incorporate light sound design and recurring elements to reinforce the show’s identity, delivering polished episodes on tight release schedules.
The Business Model is Inc. Magazine’s flagship podcast, released twice weekly in two formats: roundtable conversations with founders discussing their business endeavors, and reporter-led interviews breaking down recent stories from Inc.’s editorial team. I handle audio post-production across both the video and audio versions, ensuring each episode translates cleanly across formats. This includes dialogue cleanup, pacing and editorial tightening for the podcast version, balancing music levels, and full mix to maintain clarity and consistency.
As Inc.’s first move into video podcasting, I also built and implemented the audio workflows to support a dual audio and video pipeline, drawing on my background in TV post to align audio with picture edits and streamline collaboration across teams. The work requires managing multiple voices, varied recording conditions, and two distinct episode formats while maintaining a cohesive tone and high production standard across a fast, twice-weekly release schedule.
Office Hour is Fast Company’s interview podcast hosted by editor-in-chief Brendan Vaughan, featuring in-depth conversations with leaders across business, government, and culture. I handle full audio post-production, shaping long-form dialogue into clear, engaging episodes while preserving the natural tone and flow of each conversation. This includes tightening pacing, removing filler and repetition, managing crosstalk, and ensuring clarity across multiple speakers.
I perform detailed dialogue cleanup and mixing across a wide range of recording conditions, using tools like iZotope RX for declicking, de-reverb, plosive control, breath shaping, and removal of background interruptions. Each episode is mixed to consistent, broadcast-ready standards, with careful leveling and tonal balance to support a polished, professional sound. The goal is to let the ideas lead while maintaining a clean, focused listening experience that holds up across long-form conversations.
