This piece pushed me to the next level by allowing me to experiment with my lighting and masking techniques. Overall, I’m very happy with how this turned out.

I struggled with this a lot and, admittedly, procrastinated for a long time because I was really scared of messing up the skin tone and the facial structure. I still got up to do it in the end so as not to disappoint the client. I took 1-2 attempts to finish this and I was pretty satisfied with how it turned out in the end.
I used ink wash on a shikishi board for this cat commission, but not before testing it on my sketchbook to make sure I don’t make as much mistakes on the final product!
