    uniE621 Downtown Riverhead BID
Downtown Riverhead BID came to me looking for a logo that could represent some of the area's iconic and historic buildings, as well as the Peconic River, the arts, energy and activities which it is known for. I knew this was not going to be your standard, simple logo. But that was OK. I drew the hashtagsuffolktheater, the courthouse, hashtagstarconfectionary, and the First Congregational Church, in an artistic way to tie in East End Arts. Next, to incorporate the Long Island Aquarium, penguins are strolling through town. The finishing touch was ending "downtown" with a wavey brushstroke for the hashtagpeconicriver.
    uniE621 Underground Training
If you haven't seen this logo while running errands around town, then you may not be from the North Fork. 😉 If you are, and you just haven't noticed it - well, you won't be able to miss it now. After her planned teaching career didn't come full circle, Katie Peters found herself sharing her love of fitness with clients in the basement of her home. She cleverly named her gym "Underground Training." There's no question this girl is a go-getter, eventually moving her business out of the basement and into Feather Hill in Southold. When the weather is right, she takes the classes outside and into the parking lot - which is a full 180 from where it all started.
    uniE621 Oysterponds Shellfish Co.
Have you seen this logo around town? On hats seen EVERYWHERE? This might be one of my most popular logos.
    uniE621 Orient Point Pearls
Continuing with aquaculture logos, this girl is the OPP queen. Orient Point Pearls queen, that is. What did you think I meant? Oysterponds Shellfish Co. has a few oyster varieties that they brand. When Phil started to market these, I remember him sitting at my kitchen table and he started half singing, half humming the Naughty By Nature song and we started laughing. I ask "What are you thinking, Phil?" "I want a sexy logo." Cool, got it. Somehow I lucked out turning a line drawing of a shell into the skirt of a showgirl. Obsessed. I also provided some options to fall back on in case it wasn't hitting a home run with the client.
    uniE621 Goldsmith's Boat Shop
Last year, Goldsmith's Boat Shop celebrated their 100th year in business! Goldsmith's is well-known for selling Scout Boats, but their previous logo featuring a sailboat didn't quite represent their brand. I was honored to have helped them create a new logo that better reflects their business. If you visit my logo portfolio on Instagram, you will see I like to give my clients a variety of creative ideas to consider, as well as variations of the final design. For Goldsmith's, I gave them a "primary" logo and a "secondary" logo for flexibility on different placements. I love the way this looks reversed on a navy background.
    uniE621 Zuhoski Pool Care
My brother-in-law lucked out marrying my sister. For several reasons, and one of them is that he has me as a sister-in-law. (There, I said it.) Bill Zuhoski began his pool maintenance career many moons ago, and when he finally owned a company he could call his own, he made a very good attempt at designing an "abstract" style logo. In Microsoft Word. "I'm calling Rach." Rather than being so literal with a pool in the design, I lucked out (again) by making a wave wash out from the end of the Z for a great monogram-type logo. Gave it the colors of what crystal clear blue pool water should be, and the rest is history. For Bill. Love, your favorite sister-in-law. xoxo 😉
    uniE621 Atlantic Marine Conservation Society
This may be one of my favorites because I love the organization it represents. I created this quite a few years ago and had never seen them in action until last year when a Minke Whale washed up in the creek across the street from my house. When I walked down with my kids to witness this fascinating and sad event, I recognized the familiar logo on the vehicles working on scene and had a chance to say hello to the founder Rob DiGiovanni, again. It was really special. Under the direction of our Chief Scientist, Rob DiGiovanni, a nationally recognized expert in the field of marine biology, and his team of specially trained staff and volunteers, Atlantic Marine Conservation Society conducts aerial surveys and live animal captures to collect and disseminate data to environmental managers, ensuring the long-term survival of critical members of our ocean ecosystems. logo graphicdesigner branding illustrator designer photo webdesigner
