Hi, I’m Brian Dean Morales, a composer, conductor, and multi-disciplinary musician based in New York.
Hi, I’m Brian Dean Morales, a composer, conductor, and multi-disciplinary musician based in New York. I write original scores, orchestrations, and produce music for theatre, film, and concert settings, collaborating across ensembles and producers to bring vivid musical ideas to life. I thrive on projects that blend classical craft with contemporary storytelling, and I enjoy mentoring musicians, coordinating productions, and shaping creative outcomes with clear communication and imaginative problem-solving.
My work spans commissions, education, and freelance production music. From archiving scores and coaching student musicians to leading professional ensembles and orchestrating for stage productions in London and New York, I bring meticulous craft, collaborative spirit, and a passion for storytelling through sound to every project.
Part of the Los Angeles Film Conducting Intensive (LAFCI), this piece was composed to simulate the real life experience of a professional Hollywood style recording session. I was in charge of composing, orchestrating, preparing parts, and conducting a professional orchestra with only 20 minutes of recording time. This was a valuable experience for me. I chose a dramatic, lush orchestral genre - something that would work in a romantic, period style.
Orchestral Track created as part of a fantasy instrumental album. This recording uses only sample libraries. It showcases my abilities as a composer, a producer and an audio mixer. I have grasp on typical orchestral styles (dramedy, epic hybrid, documentary) and also have experience in sound design.
