    paper Praise Lubangu - Live In London

    I served as both Musical Director and Mixing Engineer for this live album recording with Praise Lubangu in London. The project came with its fair share of challenges — the venue was changed last-minute, which meant adapting quickly to a different acoustic space and a completely new tech setup.

    Despite the unexpected shift, I worked closely with the team to craft custom live arrangements that brought a fresh energy to the performance while staying true to Praise’s sound and style. As Musical Director, I led the band through those transitions and made sure the live performance felt cohesive and intentional.

    On the technical side, the recording had some limitations — we didn’t have room mics, and the drum setup was pretty minimal in terms of mic coverage. That made the mixing stage more complex, but I leaned into the natural ambience of the performance and used creative processing to bring the energy forward. In the end, we produced a powerful and authentic live EP that captured the heart of the night — even with the odds stacked against us.

    This project really highlighted the importance of staying flexible, being resourceful, and trusting your musical instincts.

    paper WYLD - Live at Stabal

    As Musical Director and Mixing Engineer for this live session, I oversaw both the creative and technical aspects of the project from start to finish. The performance was recorded live at Stabal studios, and my role as the MD involved curating the musical arrangements & leading the band through rehearsals, and ensuring the overall sonic integrity of the show.

    Post-performance, I handled the full mix for release across online platforms, focusing on capturing the raw energy and emotional depth of the live performance while maintaining studio-quality clarity. Balancing a dynamic mix with live instrumentation and vocal performance.

    This project reflects my ability to bridge musical direction with technical execution, ensuring a seamless translation from live performance to digital release.
